About Little Owls
Little owls are different from the other species, measuring from 20 to 26 cm in length with a wingspan between 25 and 33 cm. The little owl is named for its small size, it can weigh as little as 34 grams. The best place to hang a little owl nest box
As we’ve said little owls prefer to hunt at night and they can see in the dark much better than humans can. They are also more likely to be attracted to an area where there is plenty of cover for them to hide in during the day. This means that if you want them to come near your house, it's best if you place the box high up on the outside of your home. You also want to place it in an area where there are natural perches nearby. This will help them when they come back after hunting at night and need to rest before going out again.
